The Bluebells ~ Gold Plated Sterling Silver
5 graceful 'Bells' are suspended from the smooth arch of 'The Bluebell'. Each 'Bell' proudly houses 1 fine central and 6 surrounding stamen that are partly revealed by the 6 upturning tepals at the opening of each 'Bell'.
Associated with carpeting ancient woodland the Bluebell is thought to be the most favourite flower in the UK. Almost half the worlds bluebells are found in the UK.
The Common Bluebell also known as Fairy Flowers, Wild Hyacinth, Cuckoo's boot, Lady's Nightcap, Witches' Thimbles and Wood Bells are protected by UK law. They are a beautiful violet-blue in colour with the occasional albino bell of pure white.
In the language of flowers, the bluebell symbolises constancy, humility and gratitude.
'The Bluebell' shown here without a leaf is created entirely from Recycled Silver & Sterling Silver and is plated in 18ct yellow gold. The Bluebell measures approximately 28cm high by 8cm wide.
All sizes are approximate as all flowers are individually handmade.
